Totality ends. I nearly missed third contact. The solar chromosphere may be as wide as a continent on Earth, but it takes about three seconds for the moon's limb (edge) to cross it. An error of such duration can be fatal to the effort.

This image looks flashy, but all of the extra spectra and other artifacts are due to the lower quality of the grating I used with the camera assembly compared to the one used for the second contact image. Eclipse photography is extreme photography, testing equipment quality, project organization and photographer discipline. One must have the best equipment and optics he can afford to obtain results with which he can live.
