Maximum Eclipse, Prague - Czech Republic 4 January 2011
Previous |
|
Maximum eclipse was over northern Sweden, however, the amount of sun covered as viewed from Prague was enough to reduce ground illumination noticeably. The snow had a dull golden color.
The interplay between the sun and clouds made imaging challenging. Most of the time, the sun was bright enough to image through Baader thin film solar filters. However, the clouds sometimes thickened to the point when it was invisible through the safety filter but too bright to view or image without it.
